Assigning items
You can assign items to the specification.
- Open the Specification form.
- Click the Item Lines tab.
-
Specify this criteria.
- Item Line
- Use the Lookup to select and assign ingredients to the specification. The corresponding item code displays here.
- Min/Max/Target
- Use these columns to assign a numeric value to the
item. Specify:
- A minimum value or a maximum value.
- A range of values (i.e., both a minimum and maximum value).
- Specific value (i.e., target value).
- Sub Indicator
- Informational only. Indicate a grouping of items, such as 1, to maintain the proportion of quantities to each other when you are varying one of the ingredients. In a formula, you can change the value of any item in a subgroup; when you do, the values of the other items change to maintain the proportion that you defined.
- Scale Indicator
- Select the type of scaling applied to the item quantity. When the specification yield is scaled, most items retain their ratio to the total as they are scaled; so they have an indicator value of Linear.
- Certain catalysts do not scale and have an indicator value of No Scaling.
- Unit of Measure
- Shows the percent sign (%) if the item is a Material (1) or Raw Material (8) component type. For other component types, the unit of measure that is defined for the item is displayed here. For example, if a Packaging item is defined with a unit of measure of EA, then EA is displayed.
- Test Method
- Informational only. If you have implemented the Optiva Testing module, select the configured test method that is used to validate the item.
