Redirecting log files from Temp variable

By default, the log files for the Optiva Server and the web client are located in an Optiva subdirectory. This subdirectory is in the system’s TEMP directory. This is specified in the Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables > System variables > TEMP.

This table shows the location of the log file for the System TEMP environment variable.

The environment variable is specified in the Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Environment variables.

The environment variable designates the folder in which the trace files are created.

Some Optiva components create the respective log file folder if the folder does not already exist. It is best practice to ensure that all of the log file folders exist before the software attempts to use them.
