Input parameters in the Report XML

The report XML file template includes a placeholder for input parameters. These enable the report to use values supplied by the workflow either from the database or from input the user enters when running the report. Input parameters allow flexibility in the running of the reports. For example, the user can enter the name of the report or the language as an input parameter. Or, the input parameter can specify if the report is internal or external and thereby filter data out or in.

Use the workflow to dynamically add input parameter data to the job file.
