Calculating the start dates for the first task
What happens when you launch a workflow for any action set? The start date and time for the first task is always the current date and time on the application server machine.
This does not necessarily mean that the actual work begins on that date. For example, if the standard workday has already ended, then the actual work begins on the “next” workday. The “next” workday is defined according to the shop calendar.
Scenario | Start Date for the Task | Day the Actual Work Begins |
---|---|---|
Launch after workday ends | 10/14/2015 | 10/15/2015 |
Launch before workday ends | 10/14/2015 | 10/14/2015 |
