Creating a search for formulas

You can limit the number of formulas to use in the Global Calc process by creating a Formula Search.

You can specify a single formula or a subset of formulas. For example, you can search for only the formulas that have parameter values within a specified range.

By default, Optiva provides a pre-defined search but you can create your own search code for formulas.
  1. Open the Search Formula lookup list.
  2. Click Create New Object.
  3. Specify a description for the Formula Search.
  4. Specify search criteria. You are not required to enable Quick Search to create a Formula Search for Global Calc.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Search to test your criteria. The search results are displayed in the Search Results tab. Now, you can use this search object in a Global Calc run.
