Using the source fields in the Trade Item Template form

Source Symbol field

You can select Formula, Item, Label Content and Specification from the Source Symbol field.

The choices for the Source Symbol field in the Trade Item Template > Validation tab depend on which source symbol you select in the Main tab. For example, if you select Formula in the Source Symbol field in the Main tab, then the Source Symbol field in the Validation tab displays Formula and Calculated in the drop list. If you select Item, then the Source Symbol field in the Validation tab displays Item and Calculated in the drop list.

When you change the source symbol in the Main tab, the Source Symbol value in the Validation tab is reset and only Calculated is displayed in the drop list. If the Trade Item Template is already being used, do not change the source symbol.

The source symbol in the Main tab is used during Trade Item creation to limit the Trade Item Source Object to that symbol.

The equation can be scripted to populate any number of fields on the trade item during its creation.

Calculated field

The Calculated field in the Main tab allows the lookup selection of an equation. This equation is run when a trade item is created using this template.
