Filter for workflow tasks

A filter must be assigned to workflow tasks in Pending Tasks.

The All My Tasks filter is a global filter that is available in the seed database. Users can see the pending tasks that are assigned to them, their group, or their role. The All Tasks filter is not a global filter; it is assigned to the ADMIN role.

In the web client, the predefined column layouts are different for the All My Tasks and the All Tasks filters. The Column Personalization menu can be used to add or change the column layouts.

The filter controls access to tasks according to criteria that is specified in the Tasks tab of the Filter form.

All Tasks

This filter displays all tasks that are assigned to the specified labs, roles, and users. If this is selected, no other filters apply; this overrides other filter settings.

Custom Task View Code

Specify the code that is used to return values to the Pending Tasks display for this filter.

Days Due

Days until the workflow task is due. A value of 0 includes all.

Days Complete

Days since the workflow task was completed. A value of 0 includes all.

Group

The choices are All, Current, and Other. When users select this filter, they see all tasks.

Assigned to any group (All)

Assigned to ANY group the current user belongs to (Current)

Assigned to the group that is specified in the field (Other)

Include Not Ready

Include workflow tasks not yet in the queue.

Include Rejected

Include workflow tasks that have been rejected.

Other

Include tasks for a specific user, group or role.

Role

The choices are All, User's Roles, and Other. When users select this filter, they see all tasks.

Assigned to any role (All)

Assigned to the user who is currently logged in (User's Roles)

Assigned to the role that is specified in the field (Other)

Symbol

Symbol for the workflow. If a symbol is not selected, then the workflow tasks for all symbols are included.

User

The choices are All, Current, and Other. When users select this filter, they see all tasks.

Assigned to any user (All)

Assigned to the user who is currently logged in (Current)

Assigned to the user who is specified in the field (Other)

This example shows a link to a custom view of the filter. To select the filter, the users must belong to the role that is specified on the Filter form.
