Assigning general information

You can assign general information about the project.

  1. Open the Project form.
  2. Specify this criteria.
    Actual Sales
    Specify the number of actual sales for the project. Sales must be specified in dollars or another primary currency.
    Actual Unit Sales
    Specify the number of actual unit sales for the project.
    Business Unit
    Select the business unit for the project. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_BUSINESSUNIT enumerated list.
    Class
    Select the purpose of the project. For example, Customer NPD or Marketing NPD (New Product Development) Brief. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_PROJECTCLASS enumerated list.
    Cost Center
    Select the cost center for the project. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_COSTCENTER enumerated list.
    Extension fields
    You might see some fields that are not described here. These are extension fields that have been defined by the system administrator. They capture more details to help you manage the project.
    Customer
    Specify the customer for the project.
    Estimated Sales
    Specify the number of estimated sales for the project. Sales must be specified in dollars or another primary currency.
    Estimated Unit Sales
    Specify the number of estimate unit sales for the project.
    Parent Code
    Optional. Select another project as a parent code. The current project is now considered to be a child project of the other project. Cost information is rolled up from the child project into the parent project.

    You can click the button beside this field to navigate directly to the Parent project. You can also use the Genealogy button to view the hierarchical relationship between the projects. For more information about Genealogy, see the Infor PLM for Process User Guide.

    Portfolio
    Select the portfolio for the project. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_PORTFOLIO enumerated list.
    Priority
    Shows the priority code that is assigned to the project. Typically, a workflow is used to assign the priority code. Change this value manually if the Read Only column value for Priority in the FsValidationField table is changed from 1 (read-only) to 0 (editable). The Read Only column value is controlled by the system administrator.
    Project Manager
    Select the user who is overseeing the project.
    Project Manager Description
    Specify a description for the project manager.
    <Status>

    These fields are read-only.

    • Creation Date
    • Created By
    • Modify Date
    • Modified By

    The choices that are available for the Status and Approval field are defined by the system administrator in the Symbol form.

    Project Type
    Select a Project Type for the project. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_PROJTYPE enumerated list.
    Supervisor
    Select the user who manages the day-to-day activities for the project.
