Specifying fixed dates for action steps

You can specify fixed dates for steps within the workflow.

When you change the Start Date and Due Date fields in the Gantt tab and the Launch Workflow dialog, a push pin is displayed in the Fixed Date field. These dates become fixed and do not change when you recalculate the workflow.

The open tasks that are before the fixed date are backward scheduled. The open tasks that are after the fixed date are forward scheduled.

To unlock a Fixed Date row, click the push pin.

Now, the push pin is removed from the step. When you recalculate the dates for the workflow, the dates for that step are recalculated too.
