Specifying decimals for parameters
Calculated values, such as those for parameters and item quantities, can be displayed with specific precision. This format information is saved in the database as part of the system or user profile. It does not affect actual numerical values in the database.
The format is explained here:
- Zero (0) means that a 0 is displayed if there is no number for that place.
- Period (.) is the decimal.
- Pound sign (#) indicates the format of the numbers.
For example, the format 0#.##
that is
applied to the number 5.857 results in 05.86. The format is specified in the Format Code field in the Parameter form.
