For this example, the calculation is: 112.5 = 127.5 - 15.0

• Negative yields are allowed for the formula.
• It might not be possible to measure the byproduct yield; for example, if the byproduct is a gas. If you cannot determine the byproduct yield, the formula yield cannot be calculated accurately by Optiva.
