Example of Formula Adjust

A formula contains three types of cheeses: mozzarella, parmesan, and romano. You can select mozzarella cheese and adjust the target value for the FORMULA COST parameter. Then, mozzarella cheese item is adjusted to meet the new parameter target value.

  1. Open the Formula form.
  2. Click the Item Lines tab.
  3. Select the item(s) that you want to adjust. Do not select every item in the Item Lines grid.


  4. Select Functions > Adjust.
  5. Specify the parameter target value in the Adjust Formula dialog.


  6. To see the item contributions, return to the Formula form. Then, click the Parameters tab and select the Show Item Contribution link.
