Substituting ANSI characters for UOMs

You can configure units of measure to accept special character symbols instead of text entries. For example, DEG_C can be used for degrees centigrade. You may want a different unit of measure for celsius temperature, such as °C. The table shows useful ANSI characters.

On keyboards with a numeric keypad

  1. Press NUM LOCK on the numeric keypad.
  2. Hold the ALT key and type 0 (zero), followed by the ANSI Code. For example, to type µ, press ALT + 0181 on the numeric keypad.

On laptop keyboards without a numeric keypad

Hold the ALT and Fn keys and type 0 (zero), followed by the ANSI Code. For example, to type µ, press ALT + Fn + 0181.
