Overview

The Guidelines and Restrictions module enables you to set up text that provides guidelines and restrictions for items and parameters in formulas.

Guidelines are recommendations. Guideline text can be stated in a positive way as suggestions or recommendations. They are not required to be requirements.

Follow processing instructions from (&Mfg Location).

We recommended that guidelines be constructed as informational text. When running a guideline check, you can filter out the guidelines and check only for restrictions.

Restrictions are warnings. Restrictions alert developers to criteria that prohibit the approval and release of formulas. Restriction text is stated in a negative way.
