Extension tables

Using the Extension Table Definition form, you can create and modify extension tables for use in these Optiva symbols:

  • Formula
  • Item
  • Specification
  • Project
  • Company
  • Label Content
  • Lab
  • Action WIP
  • Analysis
  • Location

Extension tables can be used for a SQL Server database and an Oracle database. By default, the LINE_ID column is used to sort extension tables that have been upgraded to the current release.

All extension tables must have primary keys. You must upgrade any previously built extension tables by opening the definition and saving it with a primary key.
Note: You can no longer import into custom tables that have not been upgraded to have a primary key, and you will receive an error if you attempt to import.

Configuring extension tables for wizards

You can configure extension tables for the Action WIP symbol for use in a wizard action set. For instructions, see the Infor PLM for Process (Optiva) Workflow Administration Guide.
