Rules for equation calculations

Rules operate on parameter values returned from equations. Configure these types of rules:

• Rounding Rules

  These rules are used to round the calculated parameter value. The rules are defined by the government specifically for nutrition labels.

• Degradation Rules

  These rules define the nutrient degradation. They are used when deriving the nutritional information for the label.

• Daily Allowance Rules

  These rules are used to calculate the Percent Daily Value. The Percent Daily Value is calculated according to the definition of the regional government for the recommended daily allowance of a nutrient.
