Creating an Extension Tables tab

Using the Configure Templates form, you can create Extension Tables tabs for every role, symbol, and class.

The @DFLT role provides the default configuration. When you add the Extension Tables tabs to this role, those tabs are added to the other roles for you.

Suppose you already modified a role-based template, such as RL_ADMIN. In this case, the RL_ADMIN role does not inherit the Extension tab from the @DFLT role.

If desired, you can create Extension Tables tabs that are unique to a particular role, symbol, and class.

  1. Open the Configure Templates page.
  2. Select a role.
  3. Select any symbol.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click Create Tab.
  6. Specify this information:
    Tab Name
    Specify the tab name.
    Tab Type
Specify the tab type. Select Upper to add a new tab to the top level of the form. Select Lower to add a new tab to the child level of the form.
    Extension Table
You can assign an Extension Table to a Extension Tables tab while creating the tab. All of the object's available extension tables are listed. Only one extension table may be assigned to an individual extension tab. Any unassigned extension tables will remain in the primary Extension Tables tab. All extension tables associated with extension tabs will be absent from the primary Extension Tables tab.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.
