Configuring a Trade Item field in the Trade Item Template form to generate from a source object or to be calculated using an equation

This is an example of creating a Trade Item field to generate from a source object.

  1. Select Administer > Trade Item Template.
  2. Create and save a trade item template. To learn how to create and save a trade item template, see Creating a trade item template.
  3. For the Caption: Description, select Formula from the Source Symbol droplist. Select Description from the source field. This will default in the Formula description from the source object to the Trade Item description when the trade item is created.
  4. Click Save.
