Working in the Gantt tab
The Gantt tab shows the tasks, also known as actions, that are associated with a specific Action WIP ID. When you are working in the Gantt tab, ensure that you select the appropriate Action WIP ID from the list.
Selecting a task filter
Using the Task Filter drop list, you can select the filters to see this information:
- The tasks that are assigned to you.
- The tasks that are assigned to members of your group.
- The tasks that are assigned to members of your role.
Using the toolbar buttons
Using the toolbar buttons in the Project Management page, you can recalculate dates, save your changes, and return to the Project page. Provided you have the correct form security, you can see the and buttons.
See Skipping steps in action sets and Assigning users to tasks.
Viewing the bar chart
The chart is ideal for viewing the parent and child relationships between tasks. Color coding is used for the open tasks that have a Queue Status of In Process. These colors indicate whether the tasks are on schedule or late. The APM.THRESHOLD profile attribute determines when a task is considered to be late. The default value is 5 (days).
Color | Description |
---|---|
Green | The task is not late. The current date is still before the due date of the task. |
Yellow | The task is late.
|
Red | The task is late.
If the profile attribute value is 5, then a task becomes red when the task is more than 5 days late. |
Adding Instructions
You can apply bold, italics, underline, strikethrough and colors to text in the Instructions column.
Hiding inactive steps
Select the Hide Inactive check box at the top of the Gantt tab. This hides every row that has a Queue Status of Closed or Ignore.
