Checking out objects

Locking objects prevents other users from editing or overwriting the same object that you are editing. Other users can view locked objects but cannot save changes.

The system administrator configures the IMPLICITLOCKING profile attribute to enable or disable locking. The objects that support locking are Formula, Label Content, Specification, Item, Project, Test Order, Company, and Ingredient Statement.
