Customizing references

References attach and access objects that are related to the current object. For example, a formula can reference a required specification. You can open a reference by drilling down through the Reference tab; you can thereby reach other objects related to the referenced object.

The objects that can be referenced are defined by settings in the database. This is configured through the Lookup tabs in the Lookup Set form.
