Assigning the alias codes

Alias codes are used to enter alternate names for the item. You can use these alternate names in Lookups, Optiva searches, and ingredient statements.

  1. Open the Item form.
  2. Specify this criteria.
    <Alias Codes>
    Use these fields to enter additional codes or names by which the item is known. These codes can be used for translation purposes, too.
    CAS #
    Enter a Chemical Abstract Services (CAS) number. The system administrator can configure the Item Lookup list to show this number.
    Common Name
    Enter the common name for the item. For example, baking soda is the common name for sodium bicarbonate.
