Setting up child ingredient statements
A manufactured item is necessary for child ingredient statements. In
this example,
MILK CHOCOLATE\0001
is the master formula for the Milk
Chocolate item.

Create the
MILK CHOCOLATE\0001
formula.-
Specify
Milk Chocolate for the Mfg Item. Milk
Chocolate is a Material item. (Material items are a Component Type 1.) Then,
check the
Master Formula box.

Add
Cocoa Butter
,Lactose
, andSugar
to the Item Lines tab. These items are Raw Material items. (Raw Material items are a Component Type 8.)

Specify
Milk Chocolate for the Mfg Item. Milk
Chocolate is a Material item. (Material items are a Component Type 1.) Then,
check the
Master Formula box.

Create the
Milk Chocolate ingredient statement and assign
an
ingredient statement rule. For this example,
use the
@DFLT
rule. -
Leave the
Show Section Titles and
Show Status boxes blank. This makes the final
label look nicer.

Add the
Milk Chocolate\0001 formula to the
Formulas tab.
- Click Apply Rules.

Click Save
Preview. If prompted for a Function code or other attributes, follow
the prompts to complete the workflow step.
The function code stores the statement text in the database. That statement text becomes part of another ingredient statement (i.e., the statement that calls this child ingredient statement).
You can generate the statement text in different languages.
