Creating a sub-formula within the Item Lines grid

When you select any ingredients in the Formula form, you can create a sub-formula for those ingredients and directly nest the sub-formula.

You can select items that have already been exploded or other sub-formulas.

Use the Functions > Create Sub-formula menu in the Item Lines tab. The Create Rule dialog always opens. (For the Create Rule, the system administrator must specify Formula for the Object Type and the Reference Type . Select Create From As New for the Event.)

The Caesar salad sub-formula and chicken item have been combined into a new sub-formula. The quantity of the new sub-formula is the sum of both of these items: Caesar Salad 55 + Chicken 30.
