Setup tasks

The steps that are involved in configuring the Search <Object> pages are summarized here.

  1. Use the SEARCH<symbol> pages to define the status codes and the approval codes that can be assigned to each Search <Object> page.
  2. The SEARCH<symbol> page can include the FcProcFuncSetEventSearch script hook. This script hook enables the administrator to alter the search results. See the Infor PLM for Process Scripting Administration Guide.
  3. Use the Symbol page to specify the extension fields for the Search <Object> page. Use the Extension Table Definition page to specify the extension table columns for the Search <Object> page.
  4. Configure the Search <Object> page so that users can search for a single parameter value instead of a range of values.
  5. Create the SQL queries that are to be available for selection in the Search <Object> pages.
  6. Create additional search results views, such as Pivot views.
  7. Recommended. Protect against SQL injection attacks.
