Configuring views for search results

The seed database provides pre-configured views for displaying the search results. If desired, the Optiva administrator can configure additional result views, such as pivot views.

The Pivot view is ideal for combining the search results for a single object into one row. Suppose you search for items that have Cholesterol, Sodium, and Iron. You can have three separate rows in the Summary and Detail search results for each item: one row for Cholesterol, one row for Sodium, and one row for Iron. In a Pivot view, the results can be consolidated into one row by adding three columns to the view: one column for Cholesterol, one column for Sodium, and one column for Iron.
