Classifying objects for set templates

Set codes connect objects to set templates.

Set templates are pre-configured objects with specific attributes. When these templates are assigned to objects, only the sub-set of attributes are available for the object. For example, a set template for dairy products reduces parameters for assigned objects to calcium and saturated fat.

Defining set templates is a two-step process.

  1. Specify a set code in the Classification tab of the Symbol form. Then, select Yes in the Template column.
  2. Create an object for the Symbol. Use the same name as the set code, but prefix the object name with @T.

For example, if you have a set code of DAIRY defined as a template for the Item symbol, then create an Item called @TDAIRY.
