Creating a standard guideline

Use a consistent approach as you create the guidelines. Negative guidelines are recommended. For example:

• Do not use for (&End Use)
• Do not sell in (&Selling Location)

In the Standard Guideline form, click a variable name, such as (&Selling Location), and specify guideline text for that variable. In this example, the guideline text for the variable is Item is not approved for sale or distribution in.
