Company indicators

The Company object is unusual because the types of companies can be designated by the indicator. The indicators are Customer, Vendor, Testing, Manufacturing, and Other.

• You can specify one or more Company Indicator types.
• ACL security, object security and form security are specified only for the Company object. The security is automatically applied to all the types.
• The Company Indicator check boxes are not linked to the Class field. Suppose you have a Copy Method called NEW VENDOR. This Copy Method sets the VENDORIND property to “1”. When you specify VENDOR in the Class field, the newly created Company uses the VENDOR configuration.
• Separate lookups correspond to these Company Indicator types.
