Assigning general information

You can assign general information about the formula.

  1. Open the Formula form.
  2. Specify this criteria.
    Adjust Param
Available only for templates. The property to be used as the basis for an adjustment in formulas using the template.
    Calc Method
Select a calculation method. If the selection is not Standard, clear the Auto-calc Yield check box and enter the desired yield in Yield/Yield UM.
    Class
Select the purpose of the formula. For example: Recipe. The choices that are available for selection are defined in the C_FORMULACLASS enumerated list.
    Comment
Enter additional comments, such as noting changes to the formula.
    Extension fields
You might see some fields in the General grid that are not described here. These are extension fields that have been defined by the Optiva administrator.
    Formulator
Shows the user who created the formula.
    Lab Book/Page
Informational. Specify the lab book and page reference.
    Master Formula
Select this check box to store this version of the formula as the current production version. Only one version of a formula can be the master formula.

When changing the master formula from one version to another, higher-level formulas using this formula as an ingredient are updated to the new version.

You must specify a manufacturing item code (Mfg. Item field) to use the master formula feature.

    Mfg Item
Shows the Item code that is assigned to the formula. Use this field only if you are working with constituent formulas or master formulas.
    Phantom Ind
Informational. Indicate whether this formula produces a phantom substance.

A phantom substance exists only as a transition to other products. It is either used in another process, or itself packaged in different quantities, without a significant lapse of time. Whether a formula produces a phantom is relevant to the manufacturing interface.

    Reason 1 - 2
Informational. Specify the reason for the creation or modification of the formula.
    <Status>
    These fields are read-only.
