Skipping steps in action sets

The system administrator can provide users with the capability of skipping steps in a workflow. This feature can be used for non-stage gate and stage gate action sets.

In the Action Set > Steps tab, the Optional check box is used to specify which steps are eligible to be skipped.

Users can skip the steps that are eligible to be skipped from the Launch Workflow form or the Advanced Project Management > Gantt tab. See the Infor PLM for Process Advanced Workflow Management User Guide.

The Recv Ind column in the Workflows In Progress form and the Advanced Project Management > Stages tab indicate the steps that have been skipped.

The Elasticity functionality in the Action Set form is not relevant for skipped tasks. When you skip a task, it is ignored by Optiva.
