Unit of Measure Type - field descriptions
Overview
A unit of measure (UOM) is a building block of Optiva. It is a standard that is used to measure and convert quantities of items. UOMs are usually assigned to parameters. Items have parameter values assigned to them, usually using a UOM.
Use this page to define the attributes of a Unit of Measure (UOM) Type (e.g., Area, Mass, Temp etc.).
You specify which UOM will act as the basis for conversion for other UOMs of that same type. For example, the newton is a unit of measure type for force.
The acre is a unit of measure type for area.
