Pending Tasks - field descriptions

Fields are presented in the order that they are presented in a form. Click a link to see the field descriptions for the form.

Main tab

Action

Shows the name of the action or step that is assigned to this role, group, or user in the workflow.

Cond Ind

An indicator that shows whether this action supports conditional branching.

Events

Click an icon to complete an event. The events that are available for selection are configured by the Optiva administrator in the Action page.

A subset of events may only be available for selection.

For example, if your step in the workflow is to approve a new master formula, only the Approve and Reject icons may be visible.

Filter

Select a filter from the list. This filter controls which workflow tasks are shown in the grid. For example, All My Tasks shows only the tasks that are assigned to you, your group, or your role. The Optiva administrator configures the filters.

Group Code
Group code assigned to the workflow.
Instructions

Initially, the instructions default from the Action Set form.

To change the default instructions and font style, click the Action link. Then, use the WIP Detail dialog to specify the new text and font style. You can apply bold, italics, underline, strikethrough and colors to this text.

Object Key
The object identifier. For example, FS-0008\0002.
Role Code
The role assigned to this step in the workflow.
Set As Default

Select a parameter filter and make that filter the default for your own user id. Master Users (who are defined in the Role page) will be prompted to assign the default filter to the user code, lab code, role, or global lab (@DFLT). User code is the most specific assignment, meaning it takes precedence over the most general assignment, which is @DFLT.

Source User

The user who completed the prior action that resulted in the current action.

Step Caption
Description of the action that is assigned to this step.
Type

Type of data object targeted by the workflow task (e.g.,Formula).

User
User assigned to the workflow task.
WipId
Work ID assigned by the system.

Grid Settings

The Pending Task Grid Settings can be used to:
  • Filter the rows that display based upon the criteria that you enter. For example, you can display only the rows with a certain due date.

  • Customize the columns that are shown in the grid.
  • Reset the grid to the default column layout.
