Process for defining items

You define and maintain items in the Item form. The process is described briefly here.
  1. Create an item using rule codes and copy methods.
  2. Choose a component type for the item.
  3. Assign general information.
  4. Assign alias codes and CAS#.
  5. Assign parameter values.
  6. Create instructions.
  7. Configure items for use in ingredient statements.
  8. Create constituent formulas for a raw material item.
  9. Add information to extension tables.
  10. Look at views of related data.
  11. Add references to related objects.
  12. Add standard properties (attachments, contexts, sets, security).
