IDM Configuration

You must set up the Doc Types in IDM for IDM Output Reports. These doc types must be configured in a new multi-tenant environment. They are not present by default.

You must also ran the Homepage wizard IMPORT ION CONFIG. Although this wizard is not needed in Multi-Tenant environments for basic IDM integration, it is still required for IDM Reports. See the Obtaining IDM user for interacting IDM in workflow topic in the Infor PLM for Process Application Configuration Guide.

Configuring IDM Document Types and PLM Process Function Codes

One IDM Document type must be configured to store the MS Word Tempate files. PLM Process includes a Profile Code (IDM.REPORT_TEMPLATEDOCCODE) to define this Document Type (OPTIVA_REPORT_TEMPLATES), but it does not come with IDM automatically and must be created. See Example XML to import IDM Document Type for templates for XML that can be used to import this Document type definition to IDM.

At least one IDM Document Type is needed to attach generated reports. See Example XML to import IDM Document Type for generated IDM reports for example XML for a Document Type for this purpose. You may prefer to use different Document Types for different reports, or store all reports in the same Document Type.

Note: Optionally, you can include an Optiva Doc Code mapped to IDM Doc Type for visibility of report output in Optiva. See the Infor PLM for Process Application Configuration Guide for more.
