Overview

Similarly to WebReports, the use of IDM Output reports (IDM Reports) requires the generation of XML Data using a PLM Process workflow, and combination with a template file. In this case, the template file is a MS Word document stored in Infor Document Management (IDM). Unlike WebReports, no Schema file is needed.

The steps to set up and generate IDM Reports include:
  1. Configure PLM Process / IDM Integration if not already in place.
  2. Configure one or more Document Types in IDM and optionally Function Codes in PLM Process to which generated reports will be attached.
  3. Create IDM Report template files using MS Word, and attach all templates to a single IDM Document type.
  4. Configure Action Set(s) and Action(s) in PLM Process to generate the reports.
