Guidelines for deleting codes
| Code | Guideline |

| Approval | Do not delete an approval code if it is assigned to any object. |
| Function | Do not delete function codes that are being
used. You cannot retrieve text that was entered or documents that were
attached.

| Reference | Do not delete a reference code if it is assigned to any object. |
| Reference Status | Do not delete a reference status code if it is assigned to any object. |
| Search | Do not delete a search code if it is being used for a lookup. |
| Set | If you delete set codes, you cannot find classified data. If you attempt to delete the set code of the current lab for formulas, it is restored by default. |
| Status | Do not delete a status code if it is assigned to any object. |
