Exporting Role-based templates from Optiva

Using the Configure Templates page, the Optiva administrator can customize the page layouts for the web client. The page layouts can be different for each role. The @DFLT role provides the default configuration for each symbol and class in Optiva.

You can select the @DFLT role or any other role that has template overrides saved.

If you export the @DFLT role, the system exports data for all symbols at the Symbol level. This is regardless of whether there are overrides saved at this level. The system also exports data for those symbol/classes that have overrides saved at this level.

If you export any role that is not @DFLT, then the system only exports data at the level at which the overrides are saved.

In the XML Export form, complete these steps:

  1. Select the Data Objects tab.
  2. Click Add Row.
  3. Select Web Configure Templates from the Symbol list.
  4. Specify the detail codes in the Detail Codes field.
  5. Specify the role to export in the Key field.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click XML.
