Common tabs in the Search forms

The Search <object> forms have some tabs that are unique to the object. This table shows only the tabs that are displayed in every Search <object> form:

Tab Title Description
Main Required. Specify the description for the search record.
Security

You can also specify the group and the role who have authority to access this record. There can be different levels of security access for the owner, the group, and the role. Required. Specify the owner of this search record.

Required. Specify the owner of this searchGeneral Fields Optional. The system administrator can configure this tab to suit your business needs. For example, extension fields can be shown here.
Context Optional. Specify the context information that is to be used in the search criteria. This can be a selling location, a manufacturing location, a brand, a product type, an end use, an end user, or any combination thereof.
Status Optional. Specify the status codes, approval codes, and dates that are to be included in the search criteria.
Sets Optional. Specify the set codes that are to be used in the search criteria.
Notes Optional. Specify the document code, document text, or any combination thereof, that is to be used in the search criteria.
SQL Search Query Optional. Select the query that is to be used for the search criteria. The system administrator configures the choices that are available for selection.

Some of the Search <Object> forms have additional tabs, such as Parameters, References, and Extension Tables.

The extension fields and extension table columns that are shown in the Search <Object> forms are configured by the system administrator.
