Alternate numbers

When you add an alternate ingredient to a formula, a numeric value is assigned to the primary ingredient and the alternate ingredient(s) automatically.

  • The alternate number indicates that alternate ingredients exist for the formula. This number also identifies which alternate ingredient(s) belong to the primary ingredient.
  • The primary ingredient is assigned an alternate number that is divisible by 100. If more than one primary ingredient exists for the formula, the next number that is divisible by 100 is used.

    • CHEESE_01 is assigned an alternate number of 100. The alternate ingredients for that primary ingredient are assigned numbers 101 and 102.
    • SAUSAGE_01 is assigned an alternate number of 200. The alternate ingredients for that primary ingredient are assigned numbers 201 and 202.
