How are shop calendars associated with tasks?

In Optiva, tasks can be assigned to a user, group, or a role in the Action Set page, the Launch Workflow dialog, and in the Gantt tab. If you do not create any shop calendars in Optiva, then the @DFLTSHOP calendar is used to calculate the tasks.

Using the Shop Calendar page, you can modify the @DFLTSHOP calendar to suit your company’s work schedule. You can use this calendar to calculate all of your tasks. This can save you time if most of your users are in the same location. You can define the standard work times without having to create other shop calendars and define overrides for other locations.

See Modifying the Infor shop calendar.

If you create a location calendar in Optiva, that location calendar can be shared among users in the same region. That way, the tasks are calculated using the location calendar for that region.

The default location on the Action Set associates the workflow with a location calendar.

You can assign a user to a location using the Default Location field on the user object.
