Updating indirectly nested sub-formulas (Entered as items)

When you specify a manufacturing item in the Item Code column, the Master Formula is displayed in the Formula Code\Ver column.

You can designate a different formula as the Master Formula for the item. The new Master formula is displayed in the Formula Code\Vers column of all parent formulas.

If you are going to change a master formula, test the replacement first by copying the formula and directly nest a new manufacturing item. After the formula containing the sub-formula is approved, designate the new formula to be a master formula.

Formula calc rolls up values from the item when the type of an indirectly nested sub-formula is raw material (8). Formula calc also rolls up values from the formula when the item type is material (1).

Note: You can remove the master formula link for a manufacturing item. The next time you add the item, it is not associated with the sub-formula. Parameter values are rolled up from the item in that case.
