Example of using reconstitution rules

  1. Add the items to the formula. When these items are combined, they become the reconstituted item. Do not add the reconstituted item.
  2. Open the Reconstitution Rule form. Create at least one reconstitution rule for the original item.
  3. Open the Ingredients tab in the Ingredient Statement Rule form. Select Reconstitute from the Option list for the item to be reconstituted.
  4. Select the Reconstitute Items box in the Ingredient Statement form.
  5. Add the formula that you created in step 1 to the ingredient statement.
  6. Apply the ingredient statement rule. Evaporated milk and water are reconstituted as milk for the ingredient statement according to the Reconstitute Rule.
