Key points

  • A folder (for example, RPA) must be created in a working directory which includes these folders:
    • Configuration: This folder contains the default Excel template which is used as reference to map the input Excel file.
      Note:  Ensure the user has the configuration folder with same Excel file structure as the RPA is using these files internally for mapping.
    • RPA Import: This folder contains the source input files. The folder names can be user specific. Each folder must contain sub-folders named as Attachments and Attributes. Attachments contain documents which are uploaded for each PLM Import Package. Attributes contains the field details which are used while creating new PLM Import Package Record.
    • RPA Import – Level Templates: This folder contains the source input files with levelling format Excel Template file. After processing the data, the Excel files are moved to the below History folders.
      • RPA Import – Level Templates – History
      • RPA Import History
    • RPA Import – Level Templates – History: This folder contains the processed files.
    • RPA Import History: This folder contains the processed files.
    • RPA_Import_XML_Files: This folder contains all the XML files that are generated.
  • The processed input files must be validated:
    1. Login to specific user Tenant.
    2. Click the Menu option.
    3. Click the Product Lifecycle Management > PLM Export and Import Management > Import module.
    4. Search the Import package and open the details.
  • The logs generated in the folder specified in the user arguments (for example, c:\RPA\Logs) must be checked.
