About Production Control Hub

On the Production Control Hub form, you can view advanced planning and scheduling (APS)-related data

This form includes fields, buttons, and regions.

Common fields

This table shows the common fields included on this form.

Field or button Description
Start Date Specify a date to start the operational period for APS planning data analysis. The default value is set to the current date.
End Date Specify a date to end the operational period for APS planning data analysis. The default value is set to the current date.
Alternative Select an alternative option for the APS planning data. The default value is set to 0.
View

Click this button to retrieve the data for the specified Start Date, End Date, and Alternative.|

Planning Detail Click this button to open the Planning Detail form.
Resource Gantt Chart APS Click this button to open the Select Gantt Data and the Resource Gantt Chart APS form.
Resource Plan Click this button to open the Resource Plan form.
Job Orders Click this button to open the Job Orders form.
Material Planner Workbench Generation Click this button to open the Material Planner Workbench Generation form.

APS Planning Summary region

This region provides a comprehensive overview of the last APS planning status.

This table shows the buttons, fields, and information displayed in this region.

Field or button Description
Task Result A static that displays the status of the task after you run the APS.
Last APS Run Date A static that displays the date of the latest run.
Task Number A hyperlink that displays the APS task number.

Click this hyperlink to open the Background Task History filtered by the task number.

Error Messages A hyperlink that displays the number of error messages.

Click this hyperlink to open the APS Planning and Scheduling Messages filtered by the message type.

Warning Messages A hyperlink that displays the number of warning messages.

Click this hyperlink to open the APS Planning and Scheduling Messages filtered by the message type.

Blocked Order Messages A hyperlink that displays the number of block order messages.

Click this hyperlink to open the APS Planning and Scheduling Messages filtered by the message type.

Total APS Runtime A static that displays the total run time of the latest run.

Calculation of Total APS Runtime = Completed time - Submitted time from the Background Task History form for that particular Task Number.

Run APS Planning Click this button to open the APS Planning form.

On this form, select Perform Single Site Planning or Perform Multiple Site Planning based on the requirement and then click the Plan button to trigger the APS planning.

Launch out icon Click this icon to open the Background Task History form filtered by the task number.

Utilization Analysis region

This region displays the utilization analysis for resources and resource groups.

This table shows the buttons, fields, and information displayed in this region.

Field or button Description
Pie chart This chart displays the number of resource groups or resources utilized according to the slab rates based on the selected the radio button.
View Select Resource Group or Resource.

The default view is set for Resource Group.

Categories This section shows the number of resource groups or resources based on the categorized utilization percentages.

Click the hyperlinks to open the Resource Group Utilization APS form or the Resource Utilization APS form filtered by the specific utilization range.

Launch out icon Click this icon to open the Resource Group Utilization APS form or the Resource Utilization APS form.

Item Exception Messages region

This region displays a list of exception messages grouped by message type and their count.

This table shows the buttons, fields, and information displayed in this region.

Field or button Description
Select columns Click this hyperlink to group the messages.
Plus (+) icon Click this icon to view more details about the message.
Summation () icon Click this icon to display the count, minimum, maximum, sum, or average of the selected column.
Launch out icon Click this icon to open the Exceptions Report form.

Demand Analysis region

This region displays the total demands planned for the period and the number of demands projecting late for the period with respect to the demand type.

Demand Type A static that displays these demand types:
  • Customer Order (CO)
  • Forecast (FCST)
  • Project Resource (PROJ)
  • Transfer Order (TRANS)
  • MPS Release (MPS)
  • Safety Stock Order (SSD)
  • PS Release (PS)
  • Job (JOB)
  • Service Order (SRO)
  • Planned Order (PLN2)
  • Warehouse/Planned Transfer (TPLN)
Demands Planned/Period A hyperlink that displays the number of demands planned for the selected period.

Click this hyperlink to open the Demand Summary APS form filtered by the respective demand type.

Demands Projecting late/Period A hyperlink that displays the number of demands projecting late for the selected period.

Click this hyperlink to open the Demand Summary APS form filtered by the respective demand type.

Launch out icon Click this icon to open the Demand Summary APS form filtered on the displayed data.

Summary region

This region contains a carousel that displays some key information about the APS planning.

This table shows the tiles and information displayed in this region.

Tile Description
Jobs Ready for Release This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid that are ready for release. Click this tile to display the Jobs Ready for Release region.

This region displays the list of job orders that are in a "Ready" state and have a status of either "Firm" or "Configured" within the selected period range on the hub.

Click the hyperlinks to open the individual job orders.

The Past due check box is selected when a particular job is not "Released" before the current date.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Firm" or "Configured" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Job Status Change/Delete Utility form.

Click the Shortages hyperlink to open the Component Shortages APS form filtered by the related record.

Job Releases Past Due This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid that are ready for release but are past due. Click this tile to display the Job Releases Past Due region.

This region displays the list of all job orders that are in a "Ready" state with a status of "Firm" or "Configured" but have not been released until the current date.

Click the hyperlinks to open the individual job orders.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Firm" or "Configured" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Job Status Change/Delete Utility form.

Jobs Not Ready This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid that are not ready for release. Click this tile to display the Jobs Not Ready region.

This region displays the list of job orders that are not ready and have a status of "Firm" or "Configured" as per the selected period on the hub.

The Past due check box is selected when a particular job is not "Released" before the current date.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Firm" or "Configured" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Job Status Change/Delete Utility form.

Jobs to Complete This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid that are released and ready to be completed. Click this tile to display the Jobs to Complete region.

This region displays the list of job orders that have been released but are pending completion within the selected period.

The % is the percentage of completion of a job order. For example, if a job order has two operations, if the quantity of one operation is completed, then the percentage of completion is 50% for that particular job order.

The Past due check box is selected when a particular job is not "Released" before the current date.

Click the Shortages hyperlink to open the Component Shortages APS form filtered by the related record.

Jobs to Create This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid that are ready to be created. Click this tile to display the Jobs to Create region.

This region displays the list of planned job orders with due dates within the selected period.

Click the Generate Order button to open the Material Planner Workbench Firm Job form for the selected order.

Click the launch out icon to open the Material Planner Workbench form.

Click the Shortages hyperlink to open the Component Shortages APS form filtered by the related record.

Stopped Jobs This tile displays the sum of total WIP values of all the stopped jobs in the grid. Click this tile to display the Stopped Jobs region.

This region displays the list of stopped job orders with due dates within the selected period.

Click the hyperlinks to open the individual job orders.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Stopped" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Job Status Change/Delete Utility form.

Click the Shortages hyperlink to open the Component Shortages APS form filtered by the related record.

PS Ready for Release This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid with the production schedule ready for release. Click this tile to display the PS Releases Ready for Release region.

This region displays the list of production schedules with "Planned" status and are ready for release within the selected period.

The Past due check box is selected when a particular job is not "Released" before the current date.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Planned" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Change Production Schedule Release Status Utility form.

Click the Shortages hyperlink to open the Component Shortages APS form filtered by the related record.

PS Not Ready for Release This tile displays the sum of job orders in the grid with the production schedule not ready for release. Click this tile to display the PS Releases Not Ready for Release region.

This region displays the list of production schedules with "Planned" status but are not ready for release within the selected period.

The Past due check box is selected when a particular job is not "Released" before the current date.

Click the Release button to change the job order status from "Planned" to "Released".

Click the launch out icon to open the Change Production Schedule Release Status Utility form.

Item Bottlenecks This tile displays the sum of items in the grid with delayed demands. Click this tile to display the Item Bottlenecks region.

This region displays the list of items with delayed demands as per the selected period.

Click the launch out icon to open the Item Bottlenecks APS form.

Resource Group Bottlenecks This tile displays the sum of resource groups in the grid with delayed demands. Click this tile to display the Resource Group Bottlenecks region.

This region displays the list of resource groups with delayed demands as per selected period.

Click the launch out icon to open the Resource Group Bottlenecks APS form.

Completed Shipments This tile displays the sum of total values of all the shipments in the grid in USD currency. Click this tile to display the Completed Shipments region.

This region displays the list of shipments, such as customer orders, transfer orders, and service orders, that are completed within the selected period.

Click the launch out icon to open the Material Transactions form.

Resource Maintenance This tile displays the sum of downtime of all the resources in the grid in hours. Click this tile to display the Resource Maintenance region.

This region displays the list of downtime hours for resources scheduled for maintenance.

Click the launch out icon to open the Resource Maintenance form.
