Specifying cosmetics settings for charts
Cosmetics settings can control virtually every aspect of how a chart displays.
When using the “Specify Chart Settings” dialog box to create and configure charts, these settings are made on the “Cosmetics I” tab and the “Cosmetics II” tab. These tabs together include these groups for different types of cosmetic settings.
The “Cosmetics I” tab includes these settings:
- Padding & Margins
- Backgrounds/Borders
- Canvas
- Lines
- Data plots
See “Cosmetics I tab settings”.
The “Cosmetics II” tab includes these settings:
- X-Axis Names
- Y-Axis Names
- Data Values
- Data Value Hover Effects
- Data Plot Hover Effects
See “Cosmetics II tab settings”.
When modifying a chart by script, use the ChartSetProperty method or the ChartGetProperty method to make these settings. Use the ChartProperty enumeration.
For more information about these and other chart attributes, see the FusionCharts Developer help (www.fusioncharts.com/dev/).
