Project Cost Codes
Use this form to enter user-defined codes to classify your project costs into Labor, Material, or Other classes. The codes in turn define which General Ledger accounts are debited with specific project expenses. (The General Ledger accounts are taken from the Product Codes form, Project tab.)
The Project Cost Codes form also allows you to determine whether overhead and G & A expenses and revenue should be calculated as a percentage of your costs. The percentage is defined on the Projects form.
Note: Enter your cost codes carefully, because
they are important tools for evaluating and tracking projects. The Percentage of Completion form lists tasks
by their cost codes.
