Generating the Data Assessment Report

Use the Data Assessment Report to assess the mapping of the external application database table to the target database table. This report actually shows the mapping of the source Data Load table to the target Data Load table. One report is generated for each mapped table, and each report is one worksheet in the spreadsheet. The report is saved under a file name that uses this format:

[Task_Number][Source_Table_Name][Target_Table_Name][DateTime].csv

For example, a typical file name is 1001_PART_item_201407120212.csv.

The first and second rows of the report display the source and target columns, respectively.  The other rows show the data that is to be transferred.

To generate this report:

  1. Set up source and target table mappings on the Import Steps form. Include the sequence numbers for loading the tables.
  2. On the Import Data Transfer form, specify the starting and ending sequence numbers for the tables you want to transfer.

The source and target tables for each selected sequence are displayed in the grid.

  3. Select Generate Data Assessment Report.
  4. Select Preliminary Data Transfer.
  5. Click Process. You are prompted to open the report folder, where you can view the report.

The .CSV file is placed in the folder path that is specified in the Import Parameters form.
