You can rehire a former employee after a break in service. Information 
 from the employee's former record is moved to a history record.
       
      - 
            On the Employees form, select the 
	 employee's record.

            Click Rehire Employee. 
	
            
               On the Rehire Employee form, the employee 
	 ID of the returning employee is shown. 
 
- 
            Specify the new hire date.
         
- 
            Indicate whether the time from previous periods of employment should 
	 be considered when calculating the employee's length of service. If 
	 the employee has worked for your company multiple times with breaks 
	 between, you can later select which periods of employment to include 
	 in the calculation.
         
- 
            Click Process and close the form.
         
- 
            On the Employees form, click Employment Periods.
         
- 
            The Employee Employment Periods form 
	 displays a record for the employee for each previous period of employment 
	 with your company. The service days from each employment period are 
	 shown. 
         
- 
            Select Use in Adjusted Hire Date Calculation 
	 for each period that you want to include in the employee's length 
	 of service calculation.
         
- 
            Save your changes and close the form.
         
- 
            On the Employees form, the Adjusted Hire Date is updated based on the 
	 accumulated service days calculation.
         
         For example, this table shows how the adjusted hire date is calculated,
