Purging the replication document inbox/outbox

Due to the nature of replication data transfers, old data can build up in the Replication Document Inbox form and the Replication Document Outbox form. Because this build-up of old data can eventually affect system performance, It is a good practice to periodically purge old data from these forms.
Note: This procedure purges only BODs marked as "Processed" in the selected box (Inbox or Outbox).
  1. Open the Replication Document Inbox/Outbox Utilities form.
  2. Specify this information:
    Through Date
    All records with a ‘create date’ prior to or equal to this date are to be deleted.
    Increment Date
    If you want the system to automatically increment date ranges when you run the purge as a background task, select this option.
  3. Specify the type of replication data to purge: Inbox or Outbox.
  4. Click Process.

The system deletes any records in the selected inbox/outbox that were created prior to the specified date.
